Little Storytellers

Find your own stories in this fun, creative class with story-creating, movement, dance, comedy and more! Students are given the opportunity to understand the importance of stories and culture in this introductory, collaborative creative setting while foundationally finding their voices. Students will be utilizing various forms of storytelling both within and beyond the classroom and the traditional book structure—for example through music, American Sign Language, art, comics, and dance. Through the use of social and emotional learning, listening activities, meditative breathing exercises, and creative journals, students will work together and individually to create an original piece for the final showcase at the end of the semester!
