Exploring Rockefeller Preserve
In this program you will have the chance to spend an afternoon enjoying fresh air, beautiful hikes, and being with friends, old and new. The Rockefeller State Park Preserve is a local park that offers quiet countryside walks of all lengths through forested hills and valleys surrounding sunlit pastoral fields. It boasts over 45 miles of trails to be enjoyed by the community.
Each day we arrive at a different trailhead in an attempt to experience all this vast park has to offer like Rockwood Hall, Swan Lake, Buttermilk Hill, Spook Rock and so much more.
What we’ll do:
Spend 1-2 hours hiking scenic trails, enjoying the natural landscape, and spotting park wildlife.
Take periodic small breaks to hydrate, eat snacks, and hang out.
Have the opportunity to journal about the experience, map out our routes, and complete a scavenger hunt.
All you need is comfortable shoes, a good attitude, and an excitement for the outdoors!
