Art Lab — Unlocking the Art Within

What is Art Lab? Imagine a laboratory with art materials. Art Lab is designed to encourage young artists to follow their art hearts. Participating artists will have many opportunities to explore a constantly changing variety of materials, techniques, and project starters—from acrylic paints to watercolors, ceramics to textiles and nature collages to off-loom weaving. Each day will begin with a group construction project, followed by Make Your Mark, then Meet and Greet, and music and mindfulness. Individual as well as group projects will be offered daily, with sketchbooks serving as companions, both indoors and out. Artists will select and help mount pieces to be displayed in Art Lab Museum. A guest speaker will also be part of the week’s activities. The week will conclude with artists serving as “docents” for family, friends, and other visitors who come to view the exhibited “masterpieces.”
